It seems like a way to give a neurosurgeon the ability to cut around the edges. The nanoparticles actually detect and identify the areas precisely so that removal is much more clean and thorough.

In 1898 Nicola Tesla demonstarted an early machine he called a "Teleautomaton" and claimed it could lead to a fleet of humanoid robots doing menial labors for mankind
This was by using a process of radio controlling a mechanical submarine that he showed his progress. In september in NYC at the old Madison Square Garden

Here is a bit of trivia for brainiacs

The presidential veto power was first exercised on April 5, 1792 when President George Washington vetoed a bill outlining a new apportionment formula submitted by then Secretary of State Thomas Jefferson. Apportionment described how Congress divides seats in the House of Representatives among the states based on the US census figures. President Washington thought the bill gave an unfair advantage to the northern states

Hat tip to Major Domo for this link that makes you think:
"The AI community is beginning to question whether we should be so obsessed with recreating human intelligence. That intelligence is a product of millions of years of evolution and it is possible that it is something that will be very difficult to reverse engineer without going through a similar process. The emphasis is now shifting towards creating intelligence that is unique to the machine, intelligence that ultimately can be harnessed to amplify our very own unique intelligence."

Iwondered what purpose could such a gross and invasive
species be. Well, look no further than scientific invention.
A new thing called CyberPlasm is being designed to be a micro robot and diagnose diseases. It is based on soe of the biological design of the lamprey. and wil

After attaching a human eye to the robot, it only sees black and white. This is probably due to its binary programming. There is no moral ambiguity.

Celebrating Brainiac
On Brain Awareness Week we would like to celebrate a guy who many times has come very close to being the villain to face Superman on the big screen... BRAINIAC
Kevin Smith and Tim Burton both featured him in their treatments of the franchise and unfortunately instead we recieved the rather crappy Superman Returns instead.
Brainiac first appeared in Action Comics #242 in 1958 and is definitely one of Superman's best enemies.

Shortcuts for Robots
Pretty Interesting stuff. David Chandler from the MIT News Office writes of "New methods and software developed at MIT can predict optimal paths for automated underwater vehicles" These will help with the realtime changes of the underwater system the drones are traveling through.
One of the problems stated in the article below is that it had so much computational data to go through real time adjustments were difficult.
Anyone who has swam in a flowing body of water can attest to the fact that continuous adjustments need to be made. Many changes can affect current. Tidal considerations, wind, even a moving vehicle like a jetski can affect you.
MIT will present their research in May to the IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation
